Draped Over Memory


Hannah Lutz Winkler was born in Hayward, CA in 1991 and grew up in Providence, RI. She is a visual artist who works in painting, installation, printmaking, sewing, and textiles. Her work explores the physical intimacy and attachment humans have with fabric, and uses zoomorphism to blur the distinctions between humans, animals, wild, and tame. Lutz Winker has had solo exhibitions at Inter Space Lab and Gallery in Manhattan, Teddy’s Backroom Gallery in Brooklyn, and List Art Center at Brown University in Providence, RI, and has shown work in group exhibitions at Trestle Gallery in Brooklyn and the Perry and Marty Granoff Center for the Creative Arts at Brown University. She is currently an artist in residence at Brooklyn Art Space and participated in a residency program in summer 2015 at Inter Space Lab and Gallery.
